counsels. While Nicole wants to marry and have a family someday, she hasn't
met the right man.
Architect Zachary Regan has his hands full with his successful architectural
firm and his three motherless children. Widowed for several years, Zachary
has no plans to ever marry again.
The first time Nicole and Zachary meet the sparks fly and there is an instant
attraction, but Zach makes it clear he'll never remarry. Can Nicole find the
way to heal Zach so they can make a future together?
MY LOVE'S KEEPER is a light read. The characters, while likable on the
whole, drove me a little bit nuts with the constant back and forth games they
played with each other. Zachary in particular seemed to always say one thing
and do another, using words to push Nicole away while, at the same time, he
was grabbing her and kissing her. Nicole told herself she won't get involved
and yet agreed to date Zach. I sometimes wasn't sure if they were dating or
at war. The characters actions were constantly in conflict with their
internal thoughts.
While many of the characters' actions didn't seem realistic, I liked the
"second chance at love" and "go for your goals" themes. If you're looking
for a quick, easy read to distract you from the "joys" of summer vacation,
grab a copy of MY LOVE'S KEEPER.

Architect Zachary Regan is bowled over by Nicole when he firsts meets her.
He's determined to see her - again and again. Although he's sworn never to
expose his heart again, since all the women he's loved in the past have died,
he can't seem to stop thinking about a future with Nicole. He decides to date
Nicole but not get involved seriously. She doesn't make it easy for him
though, demanding more than he believes he has to give. Does he dare risk his
heart again? Could he bear the pain of losing another woman?
MY LOVE'S KEEPER is a passionate story of two people trying desperately to
ignore the growing attraction between them. Zachary is a wonderful hero,
handsome, strong, loving and romantic. I found Nicole, on the other hand,
less likeable and sometimes wondered what Zachary saw in her. It especially
bothered me when she deliberately stands Zachary up to "teach him a lesson"
then proceeds to ignore him for several days afterward. She found the whole
situation hilarious, while I found it needlessly mean-spirited behavior not
worthy of a heroine. As the story progresses and Nicole lets down her guard a
bit, she becomes more likeable, but I still found Zachary to be the more
personable of the two characters. The love story itself is enjoyable,
however, and never lets the reader down.
For a well-paced story of passion and romance, MY LOVE'S KEEPER is a nice way
to spend an afternoon.
